The Tran Hung Dao Forest National Special Relic Site marks the establishment and activities of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army (the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army). It is also closely associated with the life and revolutionary career of General Vo Nguyen Giap, a distinguished student of President Ho Chi Minh.
